ExpressVPN Netflix Alternatives – What VPN Does Work?

Are you having trouble using ExpressVPN with Netflix?

If you are, I can’t blame you. The war against VPN and proxies from Netflix has been ongoing for more than a year now, and each day the giant company uses their large amount of resources and unknown methods to completely wipe out unique IP addresses that VPNs like ExpressVPN are implementing to provide unblocking solutions.

The main idea is that by using a VPN, you can circumvent embedded geo-restrictions on the Netflix site. If you’re in Australia, you get the limited Australian version, and if you’re in China, or tons of other countries, it’s the same idea.

So ExpressVPN often claims that they can solve this problem, and in some cases, in the past, they have been able to. However, I keep seeing a lot of users having problems with the service with blocked IPs, or they complain that it’s too expensive.

What if I told you I knew a cheaper VPN solution that got blocked even less? Too good to be true? Nope! In fact, I’ve known of this method since the beginning.

Best10VPN was the FIRST site to talk about how to get around the Netflix proxy error (here is the article which is still updated), and unfortunately, we are the only site around not bought off by ExpressVPN.

ExpressVPN Doesn’t Work with Netflix?

Here are some customer complaints about how difficult it is to use Netflix with ExpressVPN.

“As of Feb 13, 2017, 0815 UTC, ExpressVPN is NOT working to connect to Netflix USA from Canada using a Windows based laptop or desktop.” – AJ

I got ExpressVPN today (Feb 20. 2017), and it does NOT work. Same error.

i just purchased express vpn, to connect to the USA Netflix, followed all the instructions, and it returns me the same error. I am unable to connect to the service. I guess since Feb 6th to now; it stopped working.

It might come as a surprise to the editor, but many people are NOT interested in the US Netflix. For many (most?) it is more useful for language or family reasons to watch different European local Netflix country-versions.

I am in South Korea, downloaded Express VPN to change to Netflix USA. Still getting the proxy error…any advice?

I’m going in the opposite direction … want to watch Netflix-UK from the US. I’d had another service that worked for a couple of weeks before the dreaded proxy block came up. Anyone having any luck getting to the UK without the issue?

ExpressVPN Netflix Alternatives?

Are you looking to watch another version of Netflix besides the US version like from the UK version of Netflix or somewhere else? ExpressVPN only works with the US version of Netflix, and sometimes, it doesn’t even work there since there IPs get blocked frequently. Also, it’s $12.95 a month which is more expensive than practically any other VPN.

Also, as we saw in our updated ExpressVPN Review, their speeds have decreased a bit lately. Now I don’t want to make it seem like I’m sending ExpressVPN into a hole and pissing on it, then lighting it on fire, but I’m trying to save you some frustration and lost money. It’s an OK VPN, just not the best for fast speeds or Netflix streaming.

So what is the Best Cheapest VPN for Netflix in UK, Korea, Japan, China, ETC?

If you want the cheapest VPN option for Netflix, then use TorGuard. IF you use the code “TGLifetime50”, you can get 50% TorGuard forever! This isn’t even our secret code, just a code they always have active out of goodwill!

This means that if you buy an entire year of TorGuard, you can get it for $30, or for one month, you can get it for around $5. Compared to ExpressVPN which is $12.95 a month, and nearly $99 a year–you can see why TorGuard is a much better option for Netflix streaming already. TorGuard works very well with torrenting and gaming as well since it’s so fast.

However, while TorGuard is cheaper as a VPN base package, you still need to get a dedicated IP address add-on. This does ramp up the price quite a bit, but at only $7 or so a month, this still means that TorGuard is cheaper. And the real kicker is that dedicated IPs are VERY hard for Netflix to block since they are unique to each user. The reason that ExpressVPN gets blocked a lot is that a lot of users are sharing the same IP which causes Netflix to block these IPs.

With TorGuard, you buy one IP, and you’re pretty much good to go for a while without any streaming difficulties with Netflix. Also, the best part is that with TorGuard, you can buy these dedicated IPs pretty much anywhere like the UK, Japan, Korea, Bulgaria, and the list goes on!

Check out the TorGuard review if you still aren’t convinced.
