Every year there are more and more VPNs entering the internet encryption industry. However, not all of these VPNs are equal, with some smaller VPNs having to grow their networks and systems the same way as the VPNs before it. Often this means newer VPNs have trouble competing with older more established VPNs–however, that is not always the case.
We’ve seen plenty of VPNs that are older that are simply outdated. Making a VPN last throughout the years requires constant updates and improvements that a lot of providers don’t bother with.
We’ve found some of the best VPN providers out there that have a lot of servers and locations so you can be sure you’ll get some decent speeds and low latency with nearby server locations. There might be some VPNs missing from this list, but we didn’t include those since they have low ratings (HideMyAss).
TorGuard (55+ locations with 3000 servers)
TorGuard, our highest rated VPN, has the best combination of locations and servers so you’ll always be covered. While they don’t have the most servers, they certainly come close, but they provide more locations than other providers with a similar number of servers. Not only that but all of their servers are fresh and not overloaded like some VPN provider servers. If you haven’t read our review, we enjoyed TorGuards commitment to excellent customer service, stealth servers, speeds, reliability with Netflix, as well as consistent updates and improvements to their service.
Private Internet Access (25 locations with 3115 servers)
Private Internet Access has created a massive server network over the years making it one of the biggest VPN providers. However, they tend to focus on specific regions, and they haven’t expanded as far as TorGuard to provide reliable servers in countries like China. However, they do have a ton of US servers, and we’ve found some great locations that give incredible speeds that you can always count on.
PureVPN (180 locations with 500 servers)
At times, PureVPN’s reach seems to stretch to the stars. Their marketing and affiliate websites are so aggressive that you might think they are the second coming of Jesus in the form of a VPN. We thought their service was only okay, but we couldn’t deny that their speeds and available servers impressed us.
ExpressVPN (100+ locations with 500 servers)
ExpressVPN is one of our favorites here at Best10VPN since they’ve come a long way with their enhanced focus on tight security. At first, they nailed usability, first time setup, and a great website, but they’ve now grown into a well-rounded VPN with plenty of server locations and available servers to deliver high speeds to all of it’s larger userbase.
AstrillVPN (54 locations with 284 servers)
While AstrillVPN doesn’t have a good first-time setup or good customer support, and we can’t recommend them over TorGuard for nearly every reason, they do have a good server network and reliable speeds.
SlickVPN (46 locations with 151 servers)
SlickVPN has plenty of server locations even if it has a smaller amount of servers than our other options listed. They can give you decent speeds and a reliable overall experience for a low price.
Conclusion:
I would recommend TorGuard for the best blend of servers per location. However, if you’re in the US, Private Internet Access also might be a good option for you to use since they have a few more servers in California and other states.

What about HMA? They have a fairly large amount of servers in a huge amount of countries. I’m just curious why aren’t they in your list?
Tom Spark
HMA is one of the older VPNs, but some other VPNs have better speeds/security like TorGuard and IPVanish.
