#1 Vuze

Fancy some rabbits? All kidding aside, Vuze is an excellent torrent program that a lot of people like using for how expandable it is. You can configure it and add a ton of plugins, but the app is still easy to run and designed well with the original core download.
Vuze is definitely one of the most powerful clients for torrenting out there, with a few different options between Leap and Vuze plus which has more features (like virus protection and the ability to preview media files).
However, both Leap and Plus has mandatory features like torrent download, media playback, and support for magnet links as well as some more advanced features like bandwidth limiting, IP filtering, etc.

-Good to install on Ubuntu servers
-Very auto-mateable

-A bit heavy on Ram and CPU usage
-No built in RSS downloader
-UI is poor
Deluge might be a bit confusing for first timers, but it has interesting incompatibilities with Chrome and Firefox through extensions. It’s not as popular as other BitTorrent apps on this list, but it’s use-able and it has cross platform support with a good number of plugins available. It’s also very old, and reputable, and doesn’t have a ton of bloatware like some other apps out there. It has alphabetical downloading, the ability to move download to specific directories, speed adjustments, graphs, and more.

qBitTorrent is my favorite BitTorrent app and the one that I use as my main app for torrenting. Why is that? Well, it’s incredibly light, full-featured, easy to use, and there aren’t any ads or obtrusive elements to it.
Sure, it looks a bit plan, but the app is super lightweight in terms of memory use and it has tons of important features like a search engine, media player, prioritization of torrents, IP filtering, torrent creation, and in some ways it what uTorrent could be if it was more open-source and full of less junk and bloatware.

uTorrent is perhaps one of the oldest and most popular torrent apps around, but that doesn’t make it worth using! uTorrent is now bloated down with tons of advertising, add-on installs, and the overall performance isn’t always the best. If you’re careful installing it, and don’t mind a few ads, it could be OK to use.
