The CW is one of the best ways to watch free content online. The reason is that they let you stream their TV shows free with ads embedded within. This is different from most other platforms. However, if you’re outside of the US, like in the UK, or elsewhere, you can’t access the CW and you might be getting the message “Sorry, this content is not available in your location”.
If you’re trying to watch the new super hero show that’s getting rave reviews called, “Black Lightning” outside of the US, this is why you are getting this problem. Don’t worry. With this guide, you can unblock the CW to watch Black Lightning even if you’re outside the US.
Why is CW Blocked or Not Available in Your Location?
The CW is locked to a US audience. They monitor IP addresses and give access to the content this way. When you go onto their website and you’re outside of the US, they can tell and they blacklist you from watching their content.
So, in order to watch shows like Black Lightning, The Flash, Supergirl, Supernatural, or any other CW show, you’ll have to use a VPN or proxy service to get around unnecessary geo-restrictions.
How to Watch Black Lightning On CW for Free Anywhere:
The CW is free to watch content, but you’ll need to pay for a VPN to watch content on the website. Free VPNs are too slow and unsecure for streaming. Fortunately, I have a great discount code that I’ll discuss later on.
Here’s how to get access to the CW internationally:
Step #1 Go to TorGuard VPN’s website. From here, pick the main VPN package. Go to checkout and pick either a “dedicated IP” or “residential IP add-on”. The residential IP is a bit more expensive since it will keep billing every month, but it’s specifically made for streaming content like the CW, Netflix, or even stuff like BBC iPlayer which also has free content.
The dedicated IP also works well if you’re looking for a more general solution. Now, if you use code “Best10VPN” you can get 50% both the IP and VPN subscription which makes it only $8.95 a month if you choose the smallest subscription. This is cheaper than competitors like ExpressVPN, making it the cheapest way to unblock the CW I’ve found yet (permanently anyway).
Step #2 Once you pay, send a support ticket into TorGuard’s support section requesting your residential or dedicated IP. You should get it within a day or so.
Step #3 Once you get your residential IP, you’ll need to start TorGuard’s app and go to “more settings”. Then go to “Servers”. Here is where you can enter your IP to access the CW to watch Black Lightning, Netflix, Hulu, or any other service. (SEE ABOVE).
Step#4 Once you save that IP, go ahead and connect to it in the servers tab on the main page of the app. Once you connect, you’ll be good to go to stream content all you want!
Best VPNs to Unblock CW?
Any other options? Well, I can’t really recommend them. Due to shared IP addresses being blocked more and more with popular VPN providers like ExpressVPN, and NordVPN, you might just end up frustrated instead of getting your money’s worth.
