Even if Torguard has dubbed their main client “lite” it still comes packed full of useful features like a network and application kill switch. The team is also constantly updating the application.
Torguard’s second Viscosity client offers more advanced features and more protocol options like L2TP and PPTP. It also comes with some neat color customization features for you barbies out there! Torguard VPN is a good client to invest into since it also offers many other interesting packages for Windows users like proxy support, encrypted email, pre-flashed VPN routers for Windows, and purchasable dedicated IPs.
ExpressVPN
ExpressVPN takes a more minimalist approach when it comes to their Windows VPN software. They have made a great application that looks great with modern coloring and style (there’s a useful green connection bar that shows you your connection progress–as well as a map in the forefront of the interface).
ExpressVPN offers only basic features, but since it’s so easy to use, and fast, you can’t go wrong with using ExpressVPN on Windows. If you’re looking for the cheapest VPN for Windows, you might want to consider an alternative VPN since expressVPN might be a bit pricier than some VPNS and it might lack some extra services.
IPVanish VPN
IPVanish has some neat little features you might not find in other Window’s VPN software–like the ability to change your account password within the application. But they also have a lot of core features like the ability to switch protocols in the application, see information about all of the servers, repair an OpenVPN driver, or start automatically upon Windows launch. They also have quick connect buttons depending on your connection need. Overall, IPVanish offers a complete VPN experience for the Windows user, but they do lack extra services and a live chat system.
Private Internet Access
PIA offers one of the cheapest plans available for a VPN. They go on sale frequently, and their speeds are ranked among the best. The client for Windows is subtle and mostly resides on your taskbar, so it can be a bit confusing when you want to change your settings (but it’s also nice that it stays out of the way). Their live chat support can lag during off-times, and they don’t offer any extra services to check out.
VyperVPN
VyperVPN is another good choice for Windows. It offers a decent pricing package as well as excellent options to configure in the various menus. It’s also one of the only VPNs out there to offer a free package with most features enabled (OpenVPN, protocol switching, and fast speeds). Of course this free version is very limited with a 500 MB limit but VyperVPN still proves to be a good looking application that can provide good speeds and encrypted security. They do have a 30-day logging policy, and some of their other applications and services can’t stand on their own as well as the windows client of Vyper.
