Your IP address is your computer’s identifier, and it’s how websites and services can serve your information. Each computer has a unique IP address, and if you are not changing your IP address, your real world location (a general location) is revealed to websites. Here’s your IP as shown on this website, for example:
3.139.97.157
If you live in China, you have a Chinese IP–if you live in Russia, UK, Turkey–, etc., you have an IP from your country.
Today we are here to explain to you how to get a US IP address. Having a US IP address can have many benefits. Do you need a US IP address to watch the US version of Netflix, Hulu, or a streaming service that only works in the US (or has the best content?)? Some video games are locked to the US, and you can’t even access them with a different country’s IP address.
Or maybe you need a US IP to get access to a particular website that is locked outside of the US. If you’re Chinese for example, this could be the only way you can access content. Today we help you to do just that!
How to Get a US IP Address with a VPN
Using a VPN is the easiest and most secure way to get a US IP address. The way it works is that you connect to a VPN, choose a US server, and then you get to use the VPN provider’s shared IP address. This IP address is shared among other users which means it’s completely anonymous, but if you want your unique IP address, you can get a dedicated IP address. If you want to learn more about that, we wrote a guide here.
So which VPN should you use to get a US IP address? We’ve looked at a ton of VPNs here at this review site, and there are a few that are the best regarding speed, security, customer support, reliability, and ease of use. We’ve made a handy table to help you find the best VPN to get your US IP super fast.

TorGuard is one of the best VPNs to get a US IP since it has the best blend of price, features, customer support, and also a large selection of servers to pick from.
GhostVPN is similar to TorGuard, as it has good speeds and a powerful server network, although it’s newer and it lacks some of the foundational support that TorGuard has (more original website, doesn’t have forums, live chat, etc–but it’s still a good pick, and we loved it in our review).
Lastly, I would recommend ExpressVPN as a good VPN to use to get a US IP, since it’s very easy to use and fast, but a bit more expensive.
